Roseann Gregory Cancer Foundation Presents Check to Martin Health Foundation

The Roseann Gregory Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce they have given a $5,000 check to the Martin Health Foundation to be used to assist cancer patients with various needs.  The funds were raised during the Cancer Foundation’s gala event “A Night in Monte Carlo.”

Mary Melber, President of the Roseann Gregory Cancer Foundation and committee chair, was excited to present the check and see the efforts of the Foundation go to work helping people.  “Our Foundation exists for the sole purpose of helping cancer patients, helping to fund a cure for cancer, and educating people about cancer,” Melber said.  “We are so excited to that some of the funds we raised are going to be able to directly help local cancer patients.”

Martin Health Foundation staff was grateful for the funds.  “Martin Health System is proud to partner with the Roseanne Gregory Cancer Foundation to help provide world class to care to our patients of the Robert and Carol Weissmann Cancer Center.”

The Roseann Gregory Cancer foundation is less than two years old and has already donated more than $30,000 towards their mission of “Funding a Cure”.  “We want to help cancer patients in our local area, regardless of the type of cancer they have or what their specific needs are,” said Melber. “Every time we have a fundraiser, or someone donates to our foundation, we help someone locally.  To us, that is most important.  In addition, by giving some money towards research, we are assisting in finding a cure for cancer.”
